On 24/6/2014, I was introduced to the PRAISE research project being conducted at EAVI: http://eavi.goldsmithsdigital.com/praise/
From the website: “The Performance and pRactice Analysis Inspiring Social Education (PRAISE) is a social network for music education with tools for giving and receiving feedback. It aims to widen access to music education and make learning music more accessible and more social.”
At the moment, the project allows for annotation and discussion on segments of sound (and sound within video) files, using web/browser-based technologies. This could interesting for my own research, and particularly for teaching. The methodological approach followed by PRAISE is also relevant for my research.
PRAISE will go live soon, and additional theoretical outcomes are also forthcoming.
