After my presentation at Goldsmiths on 18/June, I had the chance to meet Chris Baume, who is working on the Audio Visualization research project, a collaboration between Queen Mary University of London and BBC.
From the project website: “We are combining digital audio analysis and human-computer interaction techniques to improve the way producers navigate audio recordings. Traditional audio visualization methods are poorly suited to real-world tasks, so we are creating new visual representations designed for a production environment.”
