Recently I came across the iOS game Blek, since it won a 2014 Apple Design Award:

I found Blek interesting due to its emphasis on gestural patterns and gesture visualization. The gesture visualization element reminded me of Yellowtail, a media art project by Golan Levin:

Later I realized that Yellowtail had influenced Blek – artistic references seem to have been very important for its creators:
